In our quest to achieve the ultimate in cooling performance, the S-Works Prevail 3 removes the air-blocking foam bridge from the center of the helmet. As a result, the vent surface area is 24.5% more than the S-Works Prevail II Vent helmet, making it the largest in Specialized history. This creates a channel that allows more air to flow through to cool the head.

Helmets disperse the impact energy during a crash. In traditional helmet design, it was thought that the more foam (EPS material) used, the better the dispersion. So Specialized decided to take an innovative approach and rethink energy distribution methods other than foam. AirCage is a technology that connects the left and right sides of the helmet with a cable woven from aramid fibers, and secures both ends of the cable to carbon fiber side panels. When the helmet hits the ground in a crash, this technology takes the localized impact and distributes it across the helmet like a suspension bridge.

The adjuster on the back of the head provides a comfortable fit that matches the head shape of each rider. The angle adjustment function also enhances the compatibility between the helmet and eyewear. The adjustable Tri-Fix web splitter features a narrower 10mm strap to minimize bulk around the ears and neck for superior comfort and fit. The ultra-light Mindset micro-dial fit system now features height adjustment for even better grip on the dial for quick and easy adjustments.

Ultra-light and ultra-comfortable MIPS Air Node technology built into the helmet's padding features a low-friction layer that reduces brain-shaking rotational forces. Specialized's unique development process creates a mesh that maximizes breathability, performance, comfort, and lightness.
