For climbing, these wheels don't weigh a gram too much, because perfection is achieved when you can't take anything away. Light weight isn't enough to achieve the responsiveness and handling of the Alpinist CLX II tubeless wheels. The pair was designed as a system, and the engineers tested every part - hubs, rims, spokes - and started with tubeless tires. The result is a wheelset that weighs 1250 grams, with an unmatched ride quality. The Alpinist CLX II's toothed design (which allows for up to 110 psi if that's what you want) ensures perfect tire retention and easy installation. All this in a set of wheels that are light and almost double the current resistance standards. The new AF hubs are 50 grams lighter than the previous Alpinist CLX hubs. The bearings are SINC Ceramic, the internals DT Swiss EXP.
