Wheels Rim 202 Firecrest Carbon Clincher 24h Asymmetric Decal

The Zipp 202 Firecrest road rim forms the basis for the famous Zipp 202 carbon clincher wheels. It has a nearly constant width from the brake track to the base of the spokes to improve aerodynamics and better control airflow. Zipp engineers used computational fluid dynamics software analysis to maximize aerodynamics and minimize wind torque, resulting in a faster, better-performing wheel than a classic road wheel. The Firecrest rim design improves stability by moving the wheel's center of pressure to sit almost directly over the steering axle, where wind-produced torque has minimal effect. Using a proprietary carbon resin based on materials used in racing car and motorcycle braking systems, Zipp tolerates the incredible heat spikes caused by braking to provide exceptional reliability and stopping power. Zipp carbon rims have never had a heat related failure.
