The new Alpinist CLX II is Roval's lightest, best-handling clincher wheel ever. It's the same incredibly responsive acceleration, glue-to-your-face cornering, and great ride that doesn't even notice the roughness of the pavement, but now it's tubeless. We were strict about not adding a gram of weight to the wheelset in pursuit of the ultimate ride quality while climbing the mountain, because nothing less would be perfect.

To achieve the incredible response and handling of Alpinist CLX II Tubeless Wheels, we needed more than just a lightweight rim. So we designed them as a system to work with Specialized tubeless tires, and our engineers comprehensively tested the hub, rim, spokes, and lacing system. The result is a wheelset that's 1250 grams lighter than the original, and delivers an unreal ride quality.

The Alpinist CLX II features hooked rims that can handle up to 110psi of air pressure, which securely holds the tire bead in place, making tubeless setups and tire installation/removal easier than ever, while still achieving the lightest possible weight while meeting impact resistance standards that are nearly twice the current industry standard.

The all-new LightAF hub features a new low profile hub body and machined rotor mount, saving 50g over the previous Alpinist CLX hub. DT Swiss EXP internals and SINC ceramic bearings provide ultra smooth rolling, super efficient and durable.
